LITTLE DRAGON

Gothenburg strikes again, this time it is this small group of musicians called Little Dragon. They make sophisticated and bright pop songs with hazy atmosphere yet using minimalistic aproach. Their first album could be described as trip-hop-jazz pop and the lead singer Yukimi Nagano is well known as Koop and Hird collaborator-singer. The new album Machine Dreams is more intense in creating darker and immediate-grabbing songs implementing references from the 80´s Prince sound to "instant freezing" emotions of the Knife records. There is also a tender touch of today´s balearic movement to track down here.

After first listen I am abosolutely blown away by this band called Fontän..all I have to say is that this duo is from Gothenburg, Sweden (Air France, Studio, The Embassy, Boat Club) and that they are releasing DEBUT ALBUM called Wintherhwila on the Gothenburg label INFORMATION.
